I knew, in theory, that the Pacific Ocean was different than the Atlantic. From surfing movies like Endless Summer and Chasing Mavericks, I knew it was somehow bigger, colder, and a deeper shade of aqua blue on the West Coast. But until I saw the enormous crashing waves firsthand, and heard the deep hollow-earth thundering boom as they pummeled the cliffs, I had no idea how terrifyingly beautiful and threateningly powerful this ocean really was. I was instantly drawn to it. And, obviously, took wayyy too many photos.]]></description>
